Adaware running procedure

For best performance of this program we recomend that you close all other applications before starting.

Step1: First thing we need to check is that your definitions are up to date. So click the "Check for updates now" link.
Step2: You will then receive a notification as to whether there are any updates; you will click OK regardless. If there are no updates for you please skip to Step5
Step3: Click the connect button to go to the server and perform the update.
Step4: Once the data is received and installed, click the finish button.
Step5: Now to start the scan click the next button.
Step6: Perform smart scan is the default. This is the scan you will most likely want unless you know of something you don't need scanned; in this case you would customize your scan. Click Next.
Step7: It is hard to guess how long the scan will take; speed may vary due to speed of computer, load on computer, size of hard drive and other processes running. The average is about 10 minutes. The Objects scanned counter may stop from time to time, but this seems normal for this program, don't be alarmed. Once the scan has completed click the next button. If nothing was found you are finshed.
Step8: In here is a list of what Adaware found; if you have any programs on your computer that show up in this list, you may want to have them unchecked in the next step. Please keep in mind you can have anywhere from one into the thousands for spyware on your PC. Please contact us if you are unsure of anything.
Step9:Now right click on one of the unchecked boxes; then, click "Select All Objects". As noted before, if you see a program in here that you use it may be something worth keeping as Adaware may corrupt the program.
Step10:Check that all items you want have been selected. then click next.
Step11: Click the OK button and you are finished, we do reccomend that you run this test over and over until there is nothing found.
