AVG can be Downloaded from www.grisoft.com Step1: Updating AVG. AVG is most likely set to update on its own, but if you are running a dial up connection you will want to do the updates yourself. Here's how. It's important to know that AVG has two separate parts for scanning and updating. To Update, go to your Start menu, then Programs, then AVG Free Edition, then AVG Free Control Center. Or click the AVG logo that is located on your task bar next to your clock if it is there. |

| Step4: AVG will connect to the internet, and check for updates, download and install automatically. Close this window when that has completed. You are ready to start scanning. | ![]() |
| Step5: Now go back and follow the steps in step 1 to get to AVG. This time click the AVG Free Edition for Windows. | ![]() |
| Step6: Click Scan computer. You'll notice you can also update from here. | ![]() |
| Step7: Once the program has finished, if you have infected files it will ask you what to do. Choose Heal. If it fails to heal something, then it's time to call us. If it does heal you can close the window, and you are finished. | ![]() |
